September 5, 2007—Last week Thinking Systems Corp, St. Petersburg, Fla, announced that its multimodality PACS solution will connect five hospitals associated with the The Joint Department of Medical Imaging for University Health Network, Mount Sinai Hospital and Women’s College Hospital of Toronto.
The ThinkingPACS solution—which will incorporate the company’s flagship ModalityBroker, NuGateway DICOM gateway, and MDStation multi-modality PACS workstation—will link the five hospitals while addressing their needs for nuclear medicine, nuclear cardiology, PET-CT and PET-CT fusion, and other specialty modalities.
"We chose Thinking Systems because their PACS solution will clearly meet our need for a diversified viewing platform that is also fully integrated for PET-CT and SPECT-CT fusion, nuclear cardiology processing, and other modalities," said Marc A. Freeman, MD, of UHN.
