American Fork, Utah, October 26, 2009 – Two Kentucky facilities recently installed NovaRad’s NovaRIS and NovaPACS technologies to help improve workflow, patient scheduling and procedures tracking.
The facilities include Lake Cumberland Women’s Center in Somerset, which installed NovaPACS, and South Central Kentucky MRI in LaGrange, installed NovaPACS and NovaRIS.
The contracts bring the number of NovaPACS and NovaRIS installations at hospitals, imaging centers and clinics throughout Kentucky to 19. NovaRad has more than 500 installations of its radiology technologies worldwide.
Factors behind the decision to install NovaPACS were the always free hardware and software upgrades and a rapid installation time, which including training, averages only one month. “Increased pressures to improve workflow and profitability are driving hospitals, clinics and imaging centers to increase efficiency and improve service all while working with limited resources,” said Paul Shumway, NovaRad vice president. “Our affordable, fully-featured PACS and RIS technologies are designed to meet both a facility’s imaging needs and fiscal needs.” NovaPACS is NovaRad’s complete, turnkey PACS offering fast image retrieval, full-feature viewer with intuitive interface, and 7-year on-site archive with off site emergency back up.
