Viztek announced that Illinois Bone & Joint Institute (IBJI), a Chicago provider of orthopedic care and diagnostic imaging, has chosen Viztek’s Opal-RAD PACS and RIS solutions to provide infrastructure support and fulfill image interpretation needs.
With twenty locations and over ninety physicians in the Chicago and northern suburban areas, IBJI, one of the largest orthopedic group practices in Illinois, determined a necessity for advanced PACS/RIS solutions that could enable a level of technical capability that successfully met the needs demanded by their large volume and decentralized environment.
For IBJI, the ability to streamline to one efficient PACS system to handle all studies was key. Physicians now have near-instant access to any image from a centralized data center which significantly reduces time required to reference prior studies. When complemented by the higher speed and responsiveness offered by the Opal-RAD PACS, the system offers the stronger technical capabilities required for a new, improved infrastructure that enables IBJI to keep pace with enterprise demands.
