MedInformatix announced new features and functionalities for its RIS Version 7.6 at the recent RSNA annual meeting in Chicago.

Revisions include enhancements to the system’s administrative, billing, and scheduling features, such as improved claims processing times and expanded remittance processing functionality. The system now offers expanded profile settings, appointment alerts, and new calendar and confirmation controls.

Two new signature features include Appointment Request View (ARV) and Facility Access Control (FAC). With ARV, users can manage incoming orders and schedules from one screen, while the updated FAC function allows facilities to restrict access to patient screens by site and by user.

“When we first rolled out 7.6 earlier this year, our existing clients welcomed the chance to upgrade and our new clients were attracted to both the functionality of our solution and the ease of use by which it seamlessly integrates with their PACS environment,” said Pat McGonigle, president of MedInformatix. “This revision is the result of a collaborative process with our customers to tweak certain features and expand functionality in other areas to bring increased levels of RIS efficiency to their radiology practice.”
