Westminster, Colo.-based Double Black Imaging (DBI) announces the availability of its Gemini 12MP, which is designed to enhance multimodality workflow for breast imaging and PACS. The Gemini 12MP is bundled with a high-speed graphic controller to optimize Tomo image processing, along with DBI’s comprehensive calibration software suite.

The 31-inch Gemini 12MP streamlines the typical mammography, tomosynthesis, or PACS viewing station from two 5 mega-pixel displays into one 31-inch display. Moreover, the Gemini 12MP is U.S. FDA-cleared and provides a unique multimodality display solution when paired with Double Black Imaging’s service and comprehensive calibration software solution, says Tara Neill, director of sales and marketing at Double Black Imaging.

From high-volume reading rooms to home reading stations, the Gemini 12MP meets the challenge of adapting to a variety of reading environments and modalities, DBI officials say. What’s more, each display features multi-resolution modes, including 6MP and 12MP options for modality optimization.

Finally, the Gemini 12MP is ergonomically designed to reduce strain and fatigue from long hours spent at the workstation. And inclusive ambient task lighting illuminates the background or workspace. The displays are also bundled with Double Black Imaging’s CFS Client and fleet Web Manager Calibration software suite for automatic DICOM calibration, conformance testing, report generation, and non-conformance alerts via the web, company officials add.
