Thorek Memorial Hospital of Chicago has chosen Carestream’s Vue for Radiology PACS and Vue for Cardiology PACS to integrate with its existing Carestream Vue for Vendor Neutral Archive solution.
“Carestream’s cardiology and radiology PACS systems offer exceptional capabilities and reduce the need to have dedicated workstations and separate storage archives. Being able to integrate both PACS systems with a single vendor-neutral archive is also a significant advantage,” said Peter Kamberos, the hospital’s chairman of the board.
The Vue PACS system includes native voice recognition and reporting to promote remote reading and reduce transcription costs. Other features for the radiology PACS include advanced visualization, 3D post-processing, and a mammography module for improved workflow integration. The Vue Cardiology PACS also enables the viewing and reading of echocardiography, cardiac catheterization, ECG, stress tests, Holter, and nuclear cardiology studies from a single workstation.
