Toshiba has released a new mid-range, scalable CT system for hospitals and providers. The Aquilion PRIME can be upgraded from 40 slices to either 80 or 160 without purchasing additional hardware and offers a small footprint for compact spaces. Its 78 cm bore and a 660-lb capacity couch provides a low, secure patient platform that can also move laterally, while a 60-second image reconstruction speed also ensures faster diagnoses.
