Electronics manufacturer Samsung recently debuted its first digital radiography (DR) system. Now, the company has announced the release of a second system, the U-Arm-based XGEO GU60A.

The compact system includes a TFT-based flat panel detector and LED indicator lights, along with individual blade control to minimize radiation exposure. An ergonomically designed U-arm has a 150-degree range of motion, and an auto-positioning feature allows users to program the most commonly used configurations for rapid transitions.

“The Samsung XGEO GU60A offers a perfect balance of performance, flexibility and space-saving,” said Doug Ryan, group vice president for Samsung’s Health and Medical Equipment unit. “Samsung is excited to continue to expand its DR portfolio with this compact and versatile system offering fast, easy and accurate diagnosis for use in environments where space is at a premium.”
