Rayence RU-3000 500Rayence recently showcased the RU-3000 universal digital radiography system, its first U-arm system to be marketed in the United States, at the Radiological Society of North America annual meeting in Chicago. Suitable for all imaging environments, especially orthopedics, imaging centers, and urgent care, the system is undergoing submittal for 510(k) clearance and is expected to be on sale by mid-2015.

“The RU-3000 represents an expansion of our product offering into X-ray generating equipment,” said Leo Park, president of Rayence Inc. “It is a progressive business step and speaks to the direction we’re taking with our growing company.”

The RU-3000 has a small footprint and compact design to enable easy installation. The dual telescoping arm is designed to accommodate installation in rooms with ceiling heights of as little as 8 feet, and the system offers fully motorized movements for SID, arm rotation, height, and detector angle. Users can program the arm to specific positions via a touchscreen located on the tube head or a handheld remote control. The system also comes with a 17-by-17-inch cesium detector, a XmaruView workstation, patient safety anti-collision sensors, and enhanced software. A mobile table is also available.
