At the AHRA meeting in Washington, DC, August 10 – 13, 2014, Rayence unveiled the latest additions to its line of 14 x 17-inch wireless flat panel detectors, the 1417WCC (Csl) and 1417WGC (Gadox).

“The advanced technology Rayence brings to the diagnostic imaging industry has been well recognized within the specialty market,” said Leo Park, president of Rayence Inc. “With the introduction of our new 1417WCC/WGC detectors, Rayence is now in position to fulfill the demanding and versatile needs of busy imaging centers and hospitals.”

Designed for in-room and portable applications in demanding imaging environment, the 1417WCC/WGC models weigh 6.6 pounds and meet ISO 4090 cassette-size standard dimensions. The detectors’ carbon-fiber, unibody construction also resists shocks, vibration, and scratches.

The detectors have a pixel pitch of 127 microns, a resolution of 3.9 lp/mm, and high detective quantum efficiency (DQE) to deliver high-quality images. Auto triggering technology allows the detectors to be installed without integration to the x-ray generator, making them suitable for a variety of imaging environments. A built-in memory feature stores up to 100 images and captures images offline, preserving them even in the event of loss of power or internet connectivity. An Auto Image Rotation function automatically displays images in their correct portrait or landscape orientation regardless of how the original image was captured.
