Advanced digital imaging solutions provider Viztek Inc., of Jacksonville, Fla., today announced the 100th installation of its state-of-the-art Opal-RIS solution at Pershing Memorial Hospital in Brookfield, Mo.
In order to facilitate its transition to a complete digital radiology system — one that includes X-ray, CT, ultrasound and MRI — the 40-bed critical access hospital installed the RIS, along with Viztek Opal-RAD PACS.
According to Debbie Hoyt, the hospital’s radiology director, “Pershing needed a comprehensive, user friendly system at an affordable price. Viztek fit the bill. A major benefit of the Viztek system was that it integrated seamlessly with the company’s Opal-RAD PACS for tightly integrated workflow.”
Viztek Opal-RIS supports advanced digital management of a radiology business, from patient scheduling and registration to report dictation and billing. Sharing a single database with Vistek’s Opal-RAD PACS, Opal-RIS can integrate seamlessly with its sister product, along with any third-party HIS, dictation, billing and PACS solutions.
Viztek also recently installed its 500th PACS and 1,500th Orex CR at Rappahannock General Hospital in Kilmarnock, Va.
