Digital radiography products developer IMIX Americas Inc. today announced the opening of its new U.S. headquarters in Sterling, Va.
Located in the metropolitan Washington, D.C., area, the office will house sales, technical support and administrative functions to support IMIX’s North American business efforts.
According to Sigrid Smitt-Jeppesen, president and chief executive officer of IMIX Americas, IMIX ADR has been a significant player in the Asian and European markets for digital radiography for several years, commanding more than 50 percent of the Chinese market for CCD-based digital detectors. An increased presence in the U.S. market was the next logical step, she continued.
IMIX is working with a network of established distributors and has several completed installations, along with a growing number of new orders, Smitt-Jeppesen said.
