July 24, 2007—Radiological Physician Associates Inc (RPA), Fairmont, WV, has selected the Virtual Private Network from Neurostar Solutions Inc, Atlanta, Ga, for multi-site reading.
The VPN will help RPA manage images for its radiology reading group, with serves 19 sites. RPA was looking for a solution that would enable image access and management at multiple locations in a managed services model with built-in IT support.
"At the time of the purchase, we had been using a PACS from another vendor for several years," said RPA Administrative Vice President Samuel Merandi. "This provided us with insight about what we could do better the second time around. In particular, we had implemented numerous upgrades on the software, which ran on our onsite server, and we wanted to eliminate the need for this."
