Amcom Software announced Quinte Health Care (QHC) will use the Amcom Critical Test Results Management (CTRM) solution. The Ontario, Canada-based organization selected Amcom to provide a reporting system, reduce the risk of missed incidental findings, and improve the workflow for diagnosticians and physicians. This will be possible through the system’s ability to alert staff of test results quickly and note findings directly in patients’ electronic medical records.
Amcom Critical Test Results Management will integrate with multiple systems throughout the QHC facility using Health Level 7 (HL7), the standard format for exchanging patient health information among medical applications. This integration will allow diagnosticians to document and immediately send alerts about their findings. It will also provide smoother management of incidental, non-urgent findings. All communications will be secure and automatically recorded to provide a full audit trail that supports accountability.
