Carestream recently debuted its new Clinical Collaboration Platform to archive and exchange clinical content in DICOM and non-DICOM formats. Building on Carestream’s intelligent Vue Archive, the system is designed to expand the capabilities of a traditional vendor neutral archive with intelligent lifecycle management and meta-data management while improving collaboration among discrete departments.

Now available worldwide, the Clinical Collaboration Platform incorporates the MyVue patient portal to give patients more insight into their clinical data and facilitate data sharing among physicians. It also relies on the Vue Motion zero-footprint viewer to enable easy access to 3D/MPR images, interactive reports, and video streaming from physicians’ mobile devices or workstations, even for physicians in remote locations. Native reporting capabilities also help capture clinical notes.

“Equipping clinicians and patients with a new generation of clinical content capture and review workflow tools delivers a more holistic view of the patient’s condition and can lead to better treatment decisions,” said Ludovic d’Aprea, general manager of global healthcare information solutions for Carestream. “Advanced information lifecycle management combined with business intelligence provides data export and analytics that can facilitate quality metrics reporting. Our goal is to enhance collaboration for all those involved in the integrated care pathways, regardless of their location.”
