Aycan announced that California-based Trivascular Inc, a manufacturer of abdominal stent graft systems for treating abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAAs), will utilize aycan OsiriX PRO with the Vessel Analysis tool in their international markets to review CT data sets for device and case planning recommendations.
Aycan’s Vessel Analysis plug-in supports segmentation of vessels in CT data sets and provides center-lines for vessel assessment. The plug-in can be used to mark specific areas for vessel segmentation so that vessel can be displayed separately in different views. Based on the determination of the centerline and direction, an interactive assistant takes users through the individual segmentation steps to isolate arteries, e.g. coronary arteries, as well as large arteries in the area of the pelvis and legs. The diameters and lengths can be determined in a final step.
