Customers of Practice Fusion’s EHR will have the opportunity to learn about emerging treatment options and easily identify patients who may be eligible for a clinical trial. With over 50 million annual patient encounters on Practice Fusion’s platform, the partnership aims to expand clinical trial participation to patients who otherwise may not have access.

“With over 56 million patient encounters in 2014 alone, Practice Fusion is the only EHR platform positioned to benefit millions of patients so quickly by making available clinical trial opportunities,” said Ryan Howard, founder and CEO of Practice Fusion. “Partnering with ePatientFinder directly serves our mission of empowering providers and patients.”

The partners hope to serve both physicians and patients by creating unprecedented awareness of clinical trial opportunities, according to Tom Dorsett, CEO of ePatientFinder.  “Until now, patients could only hope that they might hear or see an advertisement to make them aware of clinical trial options,” he continued. “Now they will learn through their trusted physician.”
