May 30, 2007—NightHawk Radiology Services Inc, Coeur D’Alene, Idaho, announced yesterday that it has selected TeraRecon Inc, San Mateo, Calif, as its technology platform for delivering image post-processing capabilities to NightHawk’s 1,300 contracted hospitals in the US.
"NightHawk undertook a careful and exhaustive evaluation of the leading 3D technologies and vendors," said Bill Shea, MD, vice president of 3D Imaging Services at NightHawk. "The choice of TeraRecon was based upon its superior workflow solutions and powerful enterprise 3D products which we concluded were ideally suited for teleradiology."
NightHawk believes the partnership will position the company to become the leading provider of 3D imaging services for radiology, cardiology, and referring physicians.
