Amid coronavirus (COVID-19) fears and a rapidly progressing national outbreak, AHRA, The Association for Medical Imaging Management, has canceled its 2020 Spring Conference, which was scheduled to take place from March 26-28 in San Diego.
AHRA President, Chris Tomlinson states that “in consultation with the AHRA Board Executive Committee, meeting leadership, and staff, the difficult decision to cancel the meeting was deemed necessary.”
“The health and well-being of our meeting attendees, staff, vendors, and the AHRA community are our primary concern,” says Tomlinson. Additionally, many AHRA members who are frontline medical imaging managers and critical to their health organization’s operations, are not permitted any non-essential travel at this time. “We believe it’s important that key healthcare leaders aren’t displaced during a critical time.”
Registrants may choose to receive a refund, or to exchange their Spring Conference registration for the AHRA’s Annual Meeting & Exposition scheduled for July 12-15, 2020 in Boston. Further information and updates will be posted on the AHRA website, www.ahra.org.
