The program offers up to $75,000 for studies focused on emerging technologies, workforce issues, and other policy-relevant topics, with proposals due March 3.

The Harvey L. Neiman Health Policy Institute is now accepting proposals for its 2026 Neiman Institute Grants Program, offering up to $75,000 to fund research that informs health policy and radiology practice. Proposals are due March 3, 2026, at 8 pm ET.

This year’s priority area is emerging technologies and their impact on radiology and patient care. Other topics include delivery and payment models, workforce issues, cancer screening policy, and innovative practice advancement.

“Our grants program supports research that drives meaningful policy change and improves patient care,” says Elizabeth Rula, PhD, executive director of the Neiman Institute, in a release. “We seek proposals that are timely, impactful, and grounded in rigorous methodology.”

Past grantees have published influential work, including an Emory School of Medicine Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences study in Cancer Medicine showing that providing pain and nausea medications at discharge reduced poor short-term outcomes, including hospital readmissions and drug escalations, by up to 83%.
