Inspiration comes in many forms. For South Carolina’s Oconee Medical Center, it was winning Siemens Healthcare’s recent “Who Inspires You?” video contest. The first prize was a Siemens MAMMOMAT Inspiration.
The installation of the MAMMOMAT Inspiration itself inspired the creation of a state-of-the-art digital Breast Care Center in the rural hospital, allowing it to extend its patient-centric approach, offering women such features as the soothing MoodLight LED light panel and the Opcomp function, which applies compression only as long as the patient’s breast is soft and pliable, stopping at the point of optimal compression.
The center opened on September 6 and the opening was commemorated with a September 20 ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house for Oconee employees and local residents.
