Fujifilm Medical Systems and the National Breast Cancer Foundation have announced a partnership throughout May in honor of Mother’s Day to promote early breast cancer detection. The collaboration extends the mission of Fujifilm’s Images of Health campaign, which provides an online support community and educational resources for breast cancer patients, survivors, and families.

Throughout May, users who “like” the Images of Health Facebook page and share an inspirational health story and photo may be entered in the Fujifilm Images of Health Mother’s Day Photo Sweepstakes. Entrants have a chance to win a Fujifilm FinePix T550 camera, case, and 4GB SD card, or the company’s Instax Mini 8 and Instax Mini Twin film pack, along with a Liv breast self-examination aid.

“We are very excited about our continued alliance with the NBCF and passionately support their mission,” said Betty Dedon, Fujifilm’s product and marketing manager and a breast cancer survivor. “The organization is at the forefront for providing all women with the tools needed to obtain access to mammography screenings and to educate them about their risk for this disease.”

According to the NBCF, 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer during their lifetime. Since 2006, Fujifilm has donated almost $1.5 million to the organization. For more information about the campaign, visit Images of Health.
