The Dutch hospital Onze Lieve Vrouwe Gasthuis in Amsterdam has purchased Sectra’s PACS solution, seeking to provide transparent access to images and patient information throughout the patient care pathway.

Dutch hospitals that have adopted Sectra PACS perform around five million radiology examinations each year. Consequently, the company’s solution handles about 35 percent of all radiology examinations conducted in the Netherlands, making Sectra the market leader in the Dutch PACS market.
The Onze Lieve Vrouwe Gasthuis hospital plans to merge with Sectra’s customer, Sint Lucas Andreas Ziekenhuis, in the summer of 2015. The institutions perform a combined total of more than 300,000 radiology examinations per year. of resources and increase the potential for effective and safe healthcare.
