Pekin Hospital of Pekin, Ill, has upgraded its Carestream Vue PACS and purchased the Vue Motion image viewer to improve access to patient images and data via mobile devices.
“Our hospital is establishing a virtual environment to deliver easy electronic access to all patient data by authorized on-site clinicians. The zero-footprint Vue Motion viewer will go a step further by offering rapid, secure access to patient medical image data by physicians at any location. This will enable them to make important decisions on patient care and treatment,” said Jenny Rose, PACS administrator for Pekin Hospital.
The hospital also has in place a DRX-Evolution DR room for general radiology exams and two portable imaging systems retrofitted with Carestream DRX detectors. “We have been very satisfied with the performance of Carestream’s imaging and PACS platforms as well as the company’s service and support team,” Rose added.
