A Texas-based network of emergency care centers has adopted RamSoft’s PowerServer PACS across seven facilities, the company has announced. The upgrade will allow Elite Care 24 Hour Emergency Centers, which has locations throughout the state, including San Antonio and Houston, to continue expansion without interruption in a standardized environment.

Elite Care provides multi-modality imaging services 7 days per week, as well as advanced cardiac life support, emergency trauma and critical care units, and onsite laboratory services. Many of the staff’s board-certified physicians have experience in hospital emergency rooms. According to Elite Care CEO Maureen Fuhrmann, the new system enables rapid transmission of imaging studies for reading by radiologists in all reading specialties, regardless of physical location. “RamSoft’s PowerServer PACS makes our day-to-day emergency room radiology operation run smoothly,” Fuhrmann said. “This system is very user-friendly.”

The PowerServer PACS is a web-based image management solution with no constraints on the number of users, modalities, or locations employed. The system includes a modality worklist, embedded reporting and dictation tools, and a physician portal for distribution of reports and images to primary care physicians.

“It’s nice to know that our product is that efficient and can manage any given situation with its customizable workflows,” said Marilyn Solano, director of sales and marketing for RamSoft. “For emergency care, this level of access is critical because immediate diagnosis and treatment is vital to patient care.”
