Because they often require taking more than one image, accurately reading scans of long bones at a single glance can be difficult.

InfiMed has solved this problem with its InfiStitch feature, which allows the ability to create composite images from individual x-rays. The new feature, which is now part of the company’s DR product, permits both manual and automatic compositing of individual x-rays into a single image, aiding diagnosis.

The InfiStitch received U.S. Food & Drug Administration 510(k) clearance earlier this year, allowing it to be sold in the United States.
