FDA Clears Ziehm C-Arm for Pediatric Use

The FDA has cleared the Ziehm Vision RFD C-arm from Ziehm Imaging for a range of pediatric and interventional operating room procedures in the United States. The C-arm provides fully motorized movement on four axes while minimizing radiation dose.

“To my knowledge, the Ziehm Vision RFD is the only C-arm imager cleared for pediatric procedures,” said Nelson Mendes, CEO of Ziehm Imaging, Inc. “Although our devices are cleared for a full range of interventional procedures, pediatric use is validation of our innovative technology and ongoing efforts to provide the best possible image at the lowest effective level of radiation.”

Ziehm Imaging is based in Orlando and currently supplies 65% of the European market.
