Konica Minolta Medical Imaging has announced a partnership with SonoSim to provide an integrated training solution for the Sonimage P3 handheld ultrasound system. According to the company, the SonoSim Ultrasound Training Solution will ensure consistent, uniform training in point-of-care ultrasonography for physicians, nurses, and students.
The Somimage P3 is intended for use in point-of-care environments, including triage situations, outpatient or office settings, and on the hospital floor. The device can be worn like a stethoscope, and users may include primary care physicians, nurses, and non-radiology professionals.
“Konica Minolta Medical Imaging is committed to providing innovative primary imaging solutions that help enhance clinical confidence at the point of care,” said Diane Hunt, vice president of marketing for Konica Minolta Medical Imaging. “Our partnership with SonoSim will provide an educational training forum for all types of clinicians, so they can efficiently utilize this point-of-care device to enhance patient diagnosis.”
