Linda Hughes, MD, a South Florida interventional and vascular radiologist affiliated with the diagnostic imaging services provider North Broward Radiologists, will appear throughout July on the science and medical research show C.U.R.E. Symposium to discuss the latest developments in medical research.

Hughes has coauthored several publications on cardiovascular and interventional radiology and developed the Vascular and Interventional Radiology program for Broward Health. Her areas of expertise include uterine fibroid embolization (UFE), endovascular repair of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, angioplasty, stent placement, and thrombolysis for peripheral vascular disease, hemodialysis access management, TIPSS (transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt), endovenous vein laser treatment, vertebroplasty, and several interventional oncology procedures such as biopsy, port placement, chemoembolization, and radiofrequency ablation.

In a segment titled “Big Scars, Long Recuperation Have Changed with Interventional Radiology,” she and host Anita Finley will cover the most recent developments in minimally invasive interventional radiology procedures, along with a panel of other doctors and healthcare experts.
