Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc. will demonstrate a wide range of diagnostic imaging technologies at this year’s Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting in Chicago
Combining premium CT technology with the economic advantage of an entry-level system, Toshiba is showcasing the newest 16-detector-row system in its CT portfolio. Pending 510(k) clearance, the Aquilion Lightning is ideal for routine volumetric scanning and features the industry’s thinnest slices, at 0.5 mm, a wide, 78 cm bore, and a small installation and cost footprint. Features include the PUREViSION Detector, AIDR 3D Enhanced dose reduction technology, and Adaptive Diagnostics technologies, including Single Energy Metal Artifact Reduction (SEMAR), and SURESubtraction.
To advance clinical care for its customers, Toshiba’s Celesteion PET/CT system aims to deliver a comfortable patient experience along with the industry’s largest bore, widest field of view, and time-of-flight imaging. The system combines high-performance PET and CT for all radiation and oncology imaging needs, including tumor detection, treatment evaluation, and CT simulation. Features include Toshiba’s advanced CT dose reduction technology and AIDR 3D, and it conforms to the requirements of MITA’s XR-29 Smart Dose Standard.
Part of the Vitality Solutions portfolio, Vitality can facilitate protocol utilization and dose-usage analytics so hospitals and multisite Integrated Delivery Networks can help ensure consistent and safe scans every time. Vitality delivers centralized CT protocol review and verification that automatically updates protocols on similar Aquilion CTs system-wide. The technology also provides the ability to analyze operator and system metrics to ensure consistent performance and dose management.
Other products on display include the Infinix 4DCT, the Ultimax-i FPD multipurpose system, the Vantage Titan 3T MR system and 1.5T MR, the Xario 100, and the Aplio 300 and 500 Platinum Series.
