Materialise, of Belgium, and 3dMD, based in Atantla, recently announced a partnership that will bring their solutions together.
Matierialise’s patient-specific software platform SurgiCase CMF will be integrated with 3dMD’s 3D surface imaging system. The partnership aims to provide treatment providers with a seamlessly integrated 3D solution that provides clinicians with a fully comprehensive treatment and virtual simulation environment.
The companies approved a worldwide distribution agreement that allows Materialise to offer the 3dMD surface imaging system as an imaging component of its software portfolio.
3dMD’s images are critical components of digital “Patient-Specific Anatomic Reconstruction,” which superimposes all of the patient’s 3D images into one valid 3D structure and combines it with relevant biomechanical properties.
Materialise’s SurgiCase CMF offers detailed pre-surgical information based on CT or MRI data in both 3D and 3D, allowing doctors to perform cephalometric analysis, plan osteotomies, distractions, reconstructive surgeries, anaplastology cases and simulate the soft tissue outcome.
