Konica Minolta Medical Imaging has introduced the AeroDR XE wireless flat panel detector to the Latin America market. The lightweight, robust panel is suitable for emergency rooms and critical care units of hospitals as well as teaching hospitals, portable use, and at the bedside.
“The AeroDR XE’s rugged design and reliability provide peace of mind, keeping healthcare providers productive in the most challenging environments,” said Lisette Carrara, marketing manager for Latin America, Konica Minolta Medical Imaging. “Plus, exceptionally quick access to images help boost clinical confidence, which is particularly important in critical care situations. With this solution, healthcare providers in Latin America will be able to meet the imaging needs of a diverse and growing patient population.”
Weighing 5.7 pounds, the panel offers a weight-to-load ratio of up to 661 pounds and high bend and liquid resistance. The DQE feature combines high-resolution imaging with dose efficiency, while the updated lithium ion capacitor now lasts a full shift, or 300 images. The panel also comes with grip strips to help handling and new drop sensors and monitoring features to reduce repair costs and help forestall catastrophic failures.
“The new AeroDR XE is the smart, financially responsible choice for facilities with extreme, portable imaging environments. It’s simple, reliable, and robust—allowing for fast, hard-working imaging when and where it’s needed,” Carrara said.
