Baylor University Medical Center has purchased two CARESTREAM DRX-Revolution Mobile X-Ray Systems to provide x-ray image access to surgeons across its 56 suites. The hospital has also ordered a DRX-Evolution DR Room for a room devoted to both inpatient and outpatient procedures, and already uses a wireless CARESTREAM DRX-1 detector in its outpatient room with an analog x-ray system.
The mobile x-ray system has a small footprint, wireless transmission, and a tubehead monitor so technologists can remain at a patient’s bedside during the imaging process. The DRX-Evolution DR Room comes with a wall stand, elevating table, and modular components that can be oriented to fit an individual workspace, while the DRX-1 detector can be used with in-room and portable DRX imaging systems.
