Medical equipment manufacturer Quantum Medical Imaging, a division of Carestream, has installed a Q-Rad-Digital DRX radiographic system at Methodist Rehabilitation Center in Jackson, Miss, an over 150-bed acute care facility that serves more than 10,000 patients annually.

In operation for more than 30 years, the center specializes in rehabilitation programs for patients suffering from spinal cord and brain injuries, stroke, and other neurological and orthopedic disorders. It has earned recognition as a Traumatic Brain Injury Model System by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research, and been approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

Methodist Rehabilitation Center provides a range of programs, such as spinal cord, stroke, outpatient rehabilitation, orthopedic, neurological, behavioral health, and industrial rehabilitation services. In addition, the center offers sport-based therapeutic recreation, including quad rugby, rock climbing, scuba diving, wheelchair racing, sled hockey, and water and snow skiing.

The installed Q-RAD-digital DRX system features a fully integrated X-ray room, including a Quantum 80kW generator with a high speed starter, a ceiling-mounted tube support with TechVision, a QW-420-D wall stand, a QT-750-D elevating float-top table and a wireless DRX-1C cesium detector offering low-dose imaging for shared use in the table and table top configurations.
