A number of corporate changes are happening at Fujifilm Medical Systems, Stamford, Conn. Last week, the company announced that its president and CEO, Hirokai Tada, will retire in mid 2010. Mr. Tada has been with Fujifilm over 36 years. In addition, executive vice president, John Weber will be departing Fujifilm after 24 years at the company.

Naohiro Fujitani, formally general manager of Fujifilm Graphic Systems in Europe, will assume Tada’s roll as CEO and president, while Robert Cooke will become the vice president and general manager of Medical Informatics USA. Cooke will head all business and customer facing functions of the Medical Informatics division.  

In other changes, Aaron Waitz, formerly president and CEO of ProSolv Cardiovascular, has been hired as vice president, product development, Medical Informatics Global, and will lead the Medical Informatics product development team.

Finally, the company has added a new vice president of Human Resources, Teresa A. Oakley, who will become the first human resources executive to become a member of the company’s Executive Committee.
