Billing accurately and efficiently can mean the difference between profitability and sustainability or a shuttered practice. AMICAS, Inc., recently entered into a partnership agreement with Asheville Radiology Associates, Asheville, NC, to provide advanced billing and other business solutions.
The agreement will see the 42-physician, three-imaging-center practice use AMICAS Financials for radiology billing, AMICAS Dashboards for business intelligence, and AMICAS Patient Services and AMICAS Payer Services for streamlining their radiology processes.
The AMICAS suite of products will allow Asheville Radiology Associates, which offers services such as women’s imaging , interventional imaging , nuclear medicine and musculoskeletal radiology, to automate many of its billing functions or to substantially cut the amount of staff time needed to bill patients and insurers.
In a press release announcing the partnership, Robert Pegram, the group’s director of billing operations, said that the partnership was designed to accomplish two goals: increase patient satisfaction and productivity to enable staff to focus on resolving denials. “I am confident that, by working closely with AMICAS, Asheville Radiology will accomplish these goals—and more,” he said.
