KLAS’ latest report aims to pull back the curtain from vendor claims about technology differentiation to determine what role, if any, electronic medical record (EMR) platforms play in providers’ clinical success.
For EMR Technology Perception 2013: Separating Fact from Fiction, KLAS surveyed healthcare providers across the country about technology manufacturers including Allscripts, Cerner, Epic, McKesson, MEDITECH, and Siemens. Researchers found that individual platforms mattered less to providers than the vendors themselves. The study also examined the impact of technology on clinical efforts, its potential risks, and general perceptions of its effectiveness.
