Boston Scientific Corp., of Natick, Mass., and Medtronic Inc., of Fridley, Minn., have settled two patent lawsuits in Texas, according to a report from the Wall Street Journal.

The companies have also agreed not to pursue three others for a limited time. This latest development effectively ends the litigation dealing with interventional cardiology and endovascular repair between the two companies.

Medtronic will continue litigation in two of the cases against Abbott Laboratories.

Along with Johnson & Johnson, these major players in the $4 billion stent market are all involved in suits to prevent the introduction of new products by competitors and to claim royalties on their rivals’ devices.

Terms of the settlements weren’t disclosed.
