photoFlat Panel Display
Data-Ray Corp. (Westminster, Colo.) is announcing its new 3 mega-pixel digital LCD flat-panel display, the ME311, driven by a digital graphic controller. The monitor, measuring 20.8 inches on the diagonal, offers 10-bit gray scale (1021 shades of gray) with a viewing angle of 170 degrees. The ME311 delivers a peak luminance of 175 F-L and a contrast ratio of 600:1. The monochrome LCD monitor’s light weight and stable base allow for easy rotation from either portrait or landscape mode. Calibration software, for ensuring stable white level, black level and gamma correction, is included with the ME311. For more information, contact Data-Ray at 303-451-1300 ext. 104.

photoSmall Field-of-view Gamma Camera
eV Products (Saxonburg, Pa.), in a joint development with Anzai Medical (Tokyo, Japan), is releasing a small field-of-view gamma camera, the EZ Scope. The camera is fabricated from a single CdZnTe detector measuring 32mm by 32mm in active area and 5mm in thickness. The detector has 256 pixels and 256 associated channels of signal processing electronics – a 2mm pitch. The camera electronics are based on the eV Products proprietary ASIC design that performs signal processing. Anzai is conducting phantom trials and plans to apply for FDA approval by the end of 2001.
