Libman Education has expanded its suite of ICD-10-based CCS Exam preparation courses to include a third option: the online CCS Exam Review. The online, self-paced CCS Exam Review joins Libman Education’s training options, including the CCS Mock Exam and the intensive 13-week instructor-led CCS Exam Prep. The CCS Exam Review was developed in response to coder demands for a comprehensive review course that meets individual needs and learning styles.
“Those ready to prepare for this mastery level coding credential have different training needs,” said Pamela J. Haney, director of training and education for Libman Education. “Some simply need to take a practice exam, along with perhaps a personal coaching session. Others need more than this—an online, self-paced course with thorough coverage of the exam material.
“However, given the intensive nature of the exam, still many others require the 13- week intensive instructor-led course,” Haney added. “There’s something for everyone; the training needs for anyone ready to prepare for the exam can be met.”
With AHIMA posting over 50 percent unsuccessful pass rates on first attempts, the addition of the online option is in response to the growing demand for a CCS exam preparation that meets the need of a large number of candidates with different work experience, skill sets, and learning styles from those previously sitting for the exam. By providing courses that better determine knowledge gaps and replicate the exam experience, candidates can select preparation options that fit work and family responsibilities and offer a better chance for success.
