A new application from Imagine Software can assist offices making the ICD-9/ICD-10 diagnosis codes transition in time for the October 1, 2014 deadline. Imagine Conduit provides a process for converting electronic 837 claim files that utilize current ICD-9 codes to 837 claim files that utilize new ICD-10 codes.

“The Conduit application connects both sides of this transition in a way that is easy to execute and learn from, ultimately taking an ICD-9 HCFA and adapting it to an ICD-10 HCFA, while providing a concrete method for predicting ICD-10 impact on their business,” said Sam Khashman, president and CEO of Imagine Software.

Imagine Conduit is a standalone application that can run independently of an existing Imagine billing system or as a complementary application along with other Imagine billing tools.  It currently supports 837 professional claim files using the 5010 format, while future upgrades will also include 837 institutional claim file formatting.  The functionality will be available within the Imagine billing system at no charge to existing Imagine clients.
