Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin have collaborated with Medstreaming, an IT technology solutions developer, to implement the company’s non-invasive vascular structured reporting system. The new workflow allows clinicians to read studies remotely and has already improved medical report turnaround time.

Medstreaming partnered with the college to customize its templates and reading formats. Worksheets, reports, and presentations are now created using Microsoft Office tools, which form the foundation of Medstreaming Reporting. The move provides flexibility in user interface layout and basic system support structure for multiple monitors, storage solutions, and networking.

“The Medstreaming system features customizable worksheet templates and reading formats that we utilize on all of our 5 workstations,” said Adrienne Roffers, lead vascular ultrasound sonographer at Froedtert and the Medical College. “We can quickly and seamlessly transfer images from the imaging system to our IT program along with related measurements. This has resulted in about a 25% time savings for our technicians, especially by allowing quick technical approval of worksheets with limited time to edit.”
