GE HealthCare and Tampa General Hospital (TGH) have announced an agreement to deploy GE HealthCare’s imaging and ultrasound technology in TGH Imaging’s outpatient facilities across Florida. This collaboration aims to provide more precise and timely diagnoses, enhancing treatment plans and patient outcomes.

TGH Imaging operates 21 locations in Hillsborough, Pasco, Pinellas, and Palm Beach Counties, offering advanced radiology services with a team of over 65 board-certified radiologists. These radiologists also serve as faculty for the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine (USF Health), Department of Radiology. GE HealthCare’s technologies will support TGH Imaging radiologists in providing faster and more accurate diagnoses and better treatment planning.

The partnership between Tampa General Hospital and GE HealthCare dates back to 2019 and includes successful implementations such as the CareComm command center and a capital refresh plan for imaging technology. In March 2023, TGH Imaging installed GE HealthCare’s Omni Legend digital PET/CT system, a first in Florida.
