Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc will display its Spot Fluoroscopy technology and Dose Tracking system at the Society of Interventional Radiology annual meeting in San Diego, March 22 to 27. Both technologies are available for Toshiba’s Infinix-i cardiovascular X-ray systems.

Spot Fluoroscopy improves the safety of interventional procedures by allowing operators to view a target area with live fluoroscopy alongside a Last Image Hold (LIH) surround area, reducing dose and providing a more complete image. The Dose Tracking System lets physicians view radiation skin dose in real time during interventional procedures, enabling rapid adjustments to minimize exposure.

“Technologies like Spot Fluoroscopy and Dose Tracking System are particularly important during long interventional procedures,” said David Sloop, director of the x-ray vascular business unit at Toshiba. “The technologies provide unmatched dose management solutions to minimize radiation exposure to both clinicians and patients.”
