The Radiology Leadership Institute has revealed the recipients of the Impact in Leadership Award and Emerging Leader Scholarship at the American College of Radiology (ACR) Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.

“The Radiology Leadership Institute promotes leadership development across the spectrum and the scholarship program is a great way for young people to jumpstart their careers in leadership,” says Frank J. Lexa, MD, MBA, ACR Radiology Leadership Institute chief medical officer. “The Impact award is an important way that we recognize the achievements of those who have used this training to change radiology for the better.”

Recognizing Future Radiology Luminaries

The 2024 RLI Impact in Leadership Award recipient is Archie R. McGowan, MD, MBA, FACR, Portsmouth Regional Hospital, Portsmouth, N.H. The award honors individuals whose participation in an RLI course or program was integral to the successful completion of specific projects or initiatives at their practices or institutions.

The RLI Emerging Leader Scholarship recognizes residents or fellows who have demonstrated a strong interest in leadership and who show promise to both become leaders in the field and to also contribute to the future of radiology.

The 2024 Emerging Leader Scholarship recipients are:
