patient_bedStudents at Roane State Community College in Oak Ridge, Tenn., will use a unified RIS/PACS suite from Advanced Data Systems and Intuitive Imaging Informatics to learn about storing, presentation, and viewing of all types of radiographic reports, documentation and images.

As part of the Radiologic Training program at the school, students will observe clinical RIS/PACS operations through the MedicsRIS from Advanced Data System, together with Intuitive’s ImageQube PACS. The suite includes advanced integrations such as a hotlink in transcribed reports through which referring physicians can launch related images and studies with a single mouse click. ImageQube PACS is equipped with native, advanced functionalities including peer review, critical results, and PET fusion, among other tools. MedicsRIS is ICD-10 and HIPAA compliant, and it is designed to aid radiology practices in capturing every dollar for every visit through built-in electronic data interchange (EDI) for radiology.

The Tennessee Board of Regents has secured the opportunity to expand the suite of technologies to other educational locations across the state, if desired.

“Our companies’ collaborations have resulted in a tight integration, a virtual embedding of our products into a unified, single suite of systems,” said David Barzilllai, president of ADS.”

“Some of our mutual customers have had our technologies installed in their facilities for 15 years,” continued J. Martin Pfaff, president of Intuitive. “That is a sure sign of satisfaction in an industry where it is common for sites to change RIS and/or PACS vendors every three to four years.”
