Long wait times for patients in Scotland have caused some to call for radiologists to keep working beyond retirement, reports The Times.
According to Gregor McNie, Cancer Research UK’s head of external affairs in Scotland, the move could work in the short term to tackle delays. Only 87 percent of patients are seen within the Scottish government’s target of 62 days between an urgent referral and their first treatment.
