Sectra, a medical imaging technology and cybersecurity company, is partnering with a major U.S. health system to provide its enterprise imaging solution via a comprehensive and fully managed Software-as-a-Service package.

Acting as the exclusive imaging IT provider, the company will oversee the end-to-end infrastructure setup. Initially, the enterprise imaging solution will be deployed in the health system’s radiology department, with plans to extend to additional imaging services like pathology, cardiology, and orthopedics. The cloud technology will run on Microsoft Azure, facilitated by a sub-contract agreement with Microsoft managed by Sectra.

“Our aim is to simplify healthcare institutions’ challenges, making enterprise imaging more accessible and cost-effective,” says Sectra president Isaac Zaworski. “By offering scalable, high-performance imaging solutions, we’re enabling this health system to enhance patient care through a well-structured imaging strategy.”

The contract value for the Sectra One Cloud service implementation and subscription until 2033 is valued at $227 million, with room for expansion into additional imaging service lines. The agreement, signed in June 2023, is noted in the order bookings for the first quarter of the 2023/2024 fiscal year.
