The Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans has installed a Toshiba hybrid OR suite and an Infinix DP-i cardiovascular X-ray system to conduct transcatheter aortic valve replacement and other coronary and peripheral procedures.

“When we were considering expanding our cardiovascular capabilities and adding a new Toshiba hybrid OR suite to our existing four labs, there was no question about the technology that best meets our needs,” said Tyrone Collins, MD, section head of interventional cardiology and codirector of the cardiac catheterization laboratory at Ochsner Medical Center. “Toshiba’s cardiovascular X-ray system design provides unmatched flexibility with better access to the patient, and the ability to record and archive images. As a long-time partner of Toshiba, we particularly value the company’s service and support approach.”

The Infinix DP-i includes two C-arms that optimize room utilization and enables easy switches between arms during a procedure. Designed to perform vascular, neuro, and cardiovascular procedures, the systems also include high-resolution flat-panel detectors.
