SonoSite Inc, of Bothell, Wash, has launched its SonoAccess™ application, which provides a mobile, multimedia library of ultrasound resource materials for medical professionals.
An iPhone or iPod touch® interactive mobile learning application, the SonoAccess application aims to address the continuing educational needs of point-of-care ultrasound users. According to SonoSite, it joined forces with physicians to gather and create clinical education materials for emergency medicine, critical care and anesthesia with other specialties to be added soon. Users have access to high quality instructional videos, case studies, clinical images and reimbursement guides, and they can customize their user profiles to generate recommended lists of videos specific to their practice.
SonoSite worked with Slalom Consulting, a national management consulting and technology solutions firm with mobility expertise, on the design and development of SonoAccess.
